I met with Tina Ward-Pugh on Tuesday, and I feel like it went very well. It was nice to be able to sit down with a member of city council and really break down the whole SweatFree idea.
Tina seemed very interested and supportive of everything I was pitching. Sometime this week she should be getting me in contact with some other city council members to go through the same process that we just went through. She also will be giving the initial ordinance, if not a revised one, to the county attorney for intial drafting.
I feel this meeting was the largest step the SweatFree Campaign has taken in a while. I know there are other things going on now, but goal number one is getting this ordinance in the hands and minds of city government.
A few other notes:
If you requested a bumper sticker, it is in the mail as of yesterday.
Still no word on fundraising activities from anyone.
Still need some data entry done.
My birthday is tommorow.
I may have H1N1.
